RUMORS ABOUT CHARACTERS
YASOU IWAKURA  When we first meet Iwakura Yasuo he appears to be Lain's father. He is very interested in Navis, almost to the exclusion of his family. When Lain begins to show a heightened interest in Navis, he immediately responds to her request and buys her the best possible Navi available. Perhaps it is convenient that he works for Tachibana Labs. His excitement turns to concern as he observes Lain's spiraling descent into the world of the Wired. He warns Lain that the Wired is "Just for information, not communication" and that person-to-person communication is still the best. When Yasuo gets away from his Navi, he seems to be a caring family man. He often questions his daughters regarding their whereabouts and actions. He also enjoys making out with his wife! Warning! Spoilers Follow Iwakura Yasuo is an employee of Tachibana Labs. He worked closely with Masami Eiri before Masami was fired. While Yasou is not Lain's biological father, he may very well be Lain's "creator". |
